The vn was amazing, i loved how you wrote each and every characters personality, i also loved how you named b man's cafe the semicolon cafe because the semicolon is a symbol of mental health and suicide awareness since he suffered from depression before. I cant wait for day 5! And also take your time, because quality takes time. But if you havnet already, can you make a social media account where you post updates about the game? I dont wanna sound paranoid, which i very much am, but its been three months and ive been very worried. I hope this doesnt put much pressure on you though, i just want to voice out my concern because im kinda alone and its rare for me to see an actual, good, Visual Novel that distracts me from that.

When I was looking for a novel to play, I came across this game, and the first thing that surprised and attracted me was the concept of the main character: “A fox who bleeds from his ears and nose.” I was very attracted to this, and without thinking twice, I downloaded it. Then I passed it, and I was surprised that it was horror because I didn’t look at the tags initially and didn’t know that it was psychological horror, not just horror. The scene in the cave left an indelible mark on me. I then walked for several more days and had that same scene in my head. The OST is amazing. I'm not listening to it. I'm really looking forward to the next days. The story of Neo and Seth is very interesting. The author needs more patience and strength. I really want to plunge into this world again!
Not going to lie, I never comment on any vn I play (I play a lot) but this one is honestly one of the most enthralling stories I've read in a long time and I absolutely love the art! I binged the entire thing and now I'm eager for the next update! Amazing work! (P.S Android build worked perfectly I believe)

First of all, I love all the changes you did even if minimal, it's really is a pain in the ass if you've already got so many sprites to edit and I assure you we'll be happy even if for you it doesn't look quite right since after all you as their creator will see details that most of us won't notice.
Second, I'm astonished with all the backgrounds that you made and 13 music tracks! You really made a lot of work for this update.

Now for the story: You almost made me had a heart attack, heck that disappearing act that Reuben did and the upcoming alphas that might put a stop to all Neo did, almost made me think we'd lose him.
I was surprised that Neo took out an omega like Darhunt in such a short time and (love the sun dagger design) thanks for another 101 of the Kalight body functions 'cause if I didn't know that I'd though Darhunt was a goner.
Is Neo secretly a past Alpha or Omega or something much more endearing?
More to the 101 biology of the Kalightians about their organs, much appreciated but I do have a question, Is their blood some kind of acid? that also tasted good or bad depending on the person and maybe what they eat.

I'm with Neo with this one, it's a bit soon but it's not like we ate, took or drank what was in front of us, they were just helping a buddy blacking a whole colony through a helping hand.
I'm so glad Neo was able to reason with Reuben 'cause if he didn't come with the Jaw Divers I'd manually put an option to stay with Reub and make the game end as one of the endings, glad that wasn't the case.
Ahh the finally a background that isn't a shade of gray, Purple Flesh Colony here we are!
Shame we didn't spend as much time in it like we did in the Black Colony, I really liked the design of the city and it's not as blinding as the White Colony, fortunately B man's bar is just the perfect place to shield my eyes from being blind. Now I wanna know how popular B man's bar is since his blood is so tasteful and the ambience is so moody in such a good way that it'd be like a chill café. Love our interaction with "Fanboy" Darhunt (Only for S'Ferro) and the little bed time story Seth told us.

This has quickly become a feel good novel for me 😊 I find myself smiling, and even laughing, with every update. The world is so fascinating and fun to learn about, and while such intricate details would usually make it feel messy, xour style of writing, or perhaps simply the overall delivery of the story, doesn't make it feel strenuous or confusing to read 😌
Xou're doing a great job, btw 🙂 I know, better than most, the struggles of being overly critical on one's self, and while I haven't yet found a better solution other than spending time outside my head, and perhaps receiving encouragement from others, sometimes xou just gotta keep soldiering through! 😋 There are people who love what xou're doing, so just keep doing it! 😉
If i could rate 5 stars I would but sadly I can't (sad Android user noises) this has really got me invested, you my good person (idk wtf ur pronouns r) have mad the perfect mix of drama randomness and comedy ( people say that random does not equal funny but with this it does) I think that this is one of the most original ideas for an fvn I've seen in a while

I do have to give you props for an original story. It's very strange, I have no idea how you brain thought of something like this.
holy hell you do not need to apologise for being slow for updates! considering you're doing the art, writing, composition and programming by yourself, the rate that updates are coming out is mad. i've seen whole teams come out with smaller updates on far longer timescales!
for some semblence of actual review, this is pretty great! the art is better than most, the music is good enough that i'd listen to it by itself and i absolutely love the worldbuidling. keep going at even half the quality you have right now and you'll have a fvn that's significantly better than most on itch.

I finally managed to catch up… This is good. Very good.
The level of strangeness feels right in a way that’s difficult for me to put into words, but I can say that it doesn’t feel arbitrary. You’ve found a good balance between explaining things and presenting them as they are for the reader to interpret or remember for later.
I think that, from a technical/skill point of view, the recent days are done a bit better than the first ones, but the difference isn’t so large that it would be jarring.
If you’d like your sprite workflow to be more efficient, you could look into Layered Images. That would avoid having to export each possible combination individually. I’m not really clear on how they work, though, or if there are any reasons you might want to avoid using them.
This VN is not the first to make me feel uncomfortable, but has 100% made me feel the most uncomfortable of any VN to date! That's saying a lot considering the others had much more gore jump scares and general ickyness!
Please understand I don't mean any of this in a negative way, and I feel as though the author is expecting such reactions.
In this VN a compelling story has been created, and I'll fight through those queasy feelings to continue reading new chapters.

By constantly presenting my potential readers with uncomfortable and disturbing concepts and imagery, I aim to broaden their perspective and ability to understand and feel okay with things they otherwise wouldn't. It's kind of like presenting someone with their fears until they eventually become open or comfortable to whatever they once feared. There's no point making something if it doesn't help one grow in some way!

Well, here goes! Deep breath!
Spoilers
First the reader is presented with two possible outcomes, both are super bad for someone if not every one. With no quarter given to the “there must be some other way” train of thought the story has a kind of “if you’re expecting a happy ending you’re not paying attention” sorta vibe.
All the themes you warned of such as substance use, mental health issues, extreme trauma, suicidal/homicidal thoughts and the very idea of people that are afflicted by such holding the fate of every one else in their hands. (Mainly because that’s real life where I live.)
Next comes the idea of unending nose and ear bleeds! The tunnel, all the blood, vomit and such, I simply found text descriptions of these things to be more disturbing than VNs that rely on visual cues to portray this because my imagination does so much worse to me with descriptive words.
Lastly… Reuben! So much with this one alone! Innards! Licking said innards! The copious amount of times he said “and again” in the second bed time story! The first bedtime story! but mostly some of the views he expressed such as hostility towards an entire group of people despite many of those people must have been grown well after the events that he is resentful for. Also I feel specifically called out by a comment he made about docile people since that’s my natural disposition as a person.
Well that about wraps it up, and again I must emphasize that none of this is meant as criticism, with out such elements it would be difficult to write such a compelling story.
Ps. I like the way Neo is drawn and I hope to see more artwork of him beside the other characters. I know this might be difficult because the story is meant to be seen through his eyes so here is to me hoping for a mirror scene in the future!

As I said earlier, it's my mission to expose the reader to all of these dark and strange things in order to help desensitize them to such things, so I'm glad it's made you feel a little uncomfortable at times!
But in all honesty, all of the things you listed as disturbing... are actually very normal to me, hence why I asked what made you uncomfortable specifically! Heck, I didn't even know I was writing horror until someone pointed it out to me. But I appreciate the effort you went through to type that out, it's really helped open my eyes to what others think as disturbing!! I hope to keep exposing you to strange and different things, if you'd like! After all, normal is boring!

Hey, If you still need help with making an android version, here's the main steps you'd need to follow:
1) Download RAPT from renpy's website for the renpy version you use, in the public release you used 7.4.9, so the link is: https://www.renpy.org/dl/7.4.9/renpy-7.4.9-rapt.zip
2) Download version 8 of the Adoptium JDK: https://adoptium.net/en-GB/temurin/archive/?version=8
3) Launch Renpy, and Click on 'Android' in the actions category, underneath build distributions. Then install the SDK and create keys. Keep the keys you create safe.
4) Go back to the `Android` section, and click `Configure`, and follow the prompts.
This sets up your environment to build android versions, but there are some code changes needed for the full experience. Basically any graphical changes you've made, need to have a mobile variant declared. To do this, you copy the style, and add `variant "small"` or `variant "touch"`, depending on the context, to it.
Things that need to be changed:
-The textbox needs the new sprite. You can just remove the `phone/` part in the `style window`, under mobile variants.
-Choices menu needs to be changed. They currently go way to the right. Duplicate the choice screen, add

This gives a more scalable, and less hard coded variant for mobile.
-You'll probably want to add a 'Hide' button for mobile users, as they can't middle mouse button. Adding this code to `screen quick_menu` will add it:
`textbutton _("Hide") action HideInterface()`
I don't know if there's any other screens that don't work on mobile, but these are the main ones.
After this, you can build the android version. You'll want to build a universal apk, not the playstore version. It'll take a while, but afterwards, you'll have an apk. You can install this on your phone to test, or with an android emulator.

The game works on JoiPlay if you want to play it on Android. At least it did for me.
I’ve been absolutely loving this vn so far. Everything you’ve built feels so intentional from the world, the characters, the music, and just the overall atmosphere in general. And I like how the story has a dark ambience to it while still having uplifting and likable characters.
The world building has been awesome so far. I really like how much effort you’ve put into creating depth to the culture of the Black Colony—with the artifacts, the bedtime stories, and just everything. The anatomy and foods of this world are also really fascinating. I love how you're not afraid to design the world in a way that may seem strange or unorthodox. It creates this great sense of mystery where, as the reader, I’m always curious what I’ll discover next.
I feel like Neo, specifically, has been a really compelling character and protagonist. He always seems to be considering people's feelings about things, making sure they’re ok, and making sure to not implicate them into things they're not comfortable with. I really like how caring and perceptive he is towards the people around him—especially when they’re feeling down. It warmed my heart to see how much of an effort Neo made to get Reuben to open up (and include him in the friend group) rather than letting him drift off into loneliness and isolation. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of self-isolation, and I’ve faced it in my life quite a bit in my own life. So, I really admire how much he recognizes the importance of reaching out to people when they need it.
This VN has been such an amazing read so far. Thank you SO MUCH for making this!!!

Yes!! I very much prefer the strange and unorthodox - and I've tried to make the world as alien as possible, because normal is boring!! And while it's a lot harder to design worlds and their logic from scratch, it's much more rewarding. As a writer, it's hard not to lean back into things that you already know. So, as I made Season May into a VN, I made sure to never hold back, and to design the world and its characters however I want. After all, in this story, I am God! Why wouldn't I? :)
There's a lot more to Neo than what I've written so far!! While he seems very kind and observant, you'll get to know a bit more about him and his past in future updates! Please look forward to it!! I've always been a fan of multi-faceted protagonists, so anticipate some intrigue!

Not gonna lie, I kinda liked Neo's original color scheme better. Though I respect the artistic choice to change it to red. Fits the character, seeing as red-colored blood is considered an anomaly and all.

The only reason I have decided to change his fur colour to red is because… I’ve changed. Neo is my fursona and I’m not the same as I used to be. Red and black are colours that I feel represent who I am now, and I also like red because it’s a bit more… masculine for him. Imo tho ❤️❤️
And yes, I also think it fits more with the aesthetic I’m going for!!

Anyway, You've done it again, I'm absolutely blown away by everything you've wrote and THE MUSIC, oh the music is always top notch, I'll be waiting for day 4 AFTER the Christmas vacation's are over, so Kideshi I ask of you not to be so hard on yourself and get a nice winter vacation.

So first of all, I love the cooking tutorial with seth giving us a Kalightian Culinary class instead of the usual Biology one, which I still adore.
I hope we'll have more time to cook and eat whatever Seth and Neo made, especially if Seth will bend over every time to pick up a utensil~
hopefully though, next time we won't have to bleed by thinking of negative memory to get the sizzling started.
Oh my, the Endomycha scene, at least we got some new info about Seth's past and ahem kink cough* and by the way, I'm not sure if it was intentional or not but is the "sexy color gray" supposed to be a reference to 50 shades of gray? Either way *Vomits*
Hope you like the magazine I found laying on the ground of the treasure room. (That Demented shark on the ceiling gave me a such a scare that I stumbled down and found myself face to face on this very explicit magazine.)
Returning to the Endomycha scene, man oh man, The Jaw Divers are gonna have additional trauma on top of what they had plus I didn't expect that being horny woudld save us, but I ain't complaining especially with the view that I got~ *Whistle* I gotta give it to ya, those were some nice assets and rods that you've shown us, alas, if I could only touch them instead of just our own... nontheless, thanks for the show.
Now, talking about the music...
"Touch Me Lullaby" is such a song that I could describe such as a simple "laying in bed and listening to the rain outside hitting the glass accompanied by a broken Vinyl playing in the background" but I must interpret what I saw or felt during that lullaby.
It starts with a nice melody accompanied by a sound in the background that could be paragonized as the sound of the rain, soon after if I listen intently, I think I hear someone humming, now I'm envisioning 2 people that may be the same but not quite. The sound of the rain now is accompanied by a rumbling of a machine, the 2 of them are inside the car and as the young one sits in the back humming that song, the car moves faster and faster until it goes off from a bridge or a cliff and suddenly the melody becomes dull, like someone was drowning it, submerged into the water and it's not constant, It's like having brief flashes of memories of what happened before it all crashed down, repeating that nice lullaby on loop.
Sorry if I'm killing the mood like Reub'o but I just hope you've healed from whatever happened in year 12.
From what you've written anger seemed to be the solution against being depressed, and it might be a good one at the start but anger usually subsides after a short period of time, therefore Lust was the next solution which was more constant as we have more stuff to be horny instead of being angry at one thing for so long, yet I can't help that by the last part you've written, Companionship was the best thing someone like Neo could've ever got, especially since it's people who understand him, It's nice, I've quite teared up at that point. As always great job, You've created yourself a beautiful cult.
I'll be waiting patiently for day 4 and some explanations about the farm in which Seth was in, hopefully withouth encountering Siro, if we'll encounter him I'll personally give him a sucker punch for whatever he did to Seth.
P.S I'm gonna ruin the mood again, sorry. Again I noticed a misspelling before the treasure room and after the Endomycha scene. You wrote at the end "Roof aboce" I think you may have intended to write "Roof above".

Yessss... I'm still trying to get better at drawing, but I very much enjoyed drawing gay furry p***! I think the one of Lucifer was probably my best!! That whole thing with the endomycha was kind of a reflection of myself and how during my darkest times, my um, primal instincts have always been there to save me. Most of the time, anyway. And I think it's something people don't talk about enough considering it's completely normal and literally the main thing we're put on the planet to do/feel.
Thank you for that Touch Me Lullaby scene... that was really powerful, and very sad. I'm sorry that the stuff I've made has caused you to create such sad imagery. But you've done such an amazing job at capturing the essence of the song and its sadness... the lullaby itself is only a small snippet on loop of the original song, but... I felt it necessary to just keep it on a constant loop to ensure the reader feels uneasy and disoriented. To me, the song symbolises the last thing you hear before death - which is why I gave the option for you to choose to die while the song fades out and the game exits. I've been in that place myself so many times, so it's cathartic to be able to experience it in game.
Yes, Siro can go fuck himself. Don't worry we'll get to him and The Farm eventually!! Unfortunately, sometimes, when some Kalightians are grown, they come out as assholes who need to be put back in the ground :)

It's the least I could offer since reading your stuff actually helps me too, especially since it's something that a person who was close to death multiple times and the stuff you write it's not all "Doom and Gloom" so it really helps.
Shame my primal instincts are basically the same as B-man Philocision, meaning almost inexistent BUT not all is lost, I just gotta have confidence in myself (I've got to be more fierce if I wanna have a chance with the definition of "Potential boyfriend" of Reuben).
I'm also trying to get better at drawing, I hope that it won't disturb you if I use some of your sprites to get some of the fanarts done.
I'll get better at it and soon maybe I'll do something decent.

It’s okay! It’s hard to be confident when you feel like you’re not good enough… I know what that feels like all too well. But the more you try, the more likely you’ll succeed! Even if you fail at any of your endeavours, like I did for a very very long time, it’s never really a failure because you’re getting better each time! That’s what kept me at it, even when I just wanted to quit because it seemed like I could never get better.
And hey, it’s okay if you’re not comfortable with those instincts. It took me a very long time to be okay with it, you just have to embrace the innate joy in it and throw away the stigma!

I don't wanna say too much cuz I don't wanna spoil things for others or rehash stuff I've already said in previous comments but hoo...
...Good stuff. Fucked up in more ways than one. But still good! Hope whatever you're going through right now isn't TOO horrible/serious. The only advice I can give is not to stress too much about getting updates out every month. I, for one, am totally enraptured with this story and while I'm eager to see more I'm also willing to wait as long as it takes.
As I hinted at in my little bit of fanfiction I wrote, I'm also going through a rough patch in my life, so I can sort of relate in a way? Probably nothing as serious as the trauma Neo and the gang have faced, but yeah. I'm constantly battling my own demons as well.

It was quite difficult to write due to how Neo’s feelings are a reflection of mine, and especially how horrifically dark it gets - but I’m so glad I wrote it. And thank you - although I would love to get out updates as soon as possible, I need to make sure I don’t overwork myself/stress myself out too much, which I tend to do regardless… but I’ll figure that out. So already the cooking tutorial I'm not going to give the details I had things that don't make you want to taste Seth and Neo's cooking it's even almost weird like a sort of panna gotta recipe but version of death but as my friend just said in the comment towards the bottom is true it was incredibly scary and sexy~~~ I don't think I'll see Seth Neo (Roy) Reuben B. Man I can't wait for day 3, I mean who wouldn't want to see B man drunk, not only him but the whole squad and being so close now~ mmhm I hope Neo can hold hands again with Reuben this time for a lot more hours than mere second. I think Neo might wanna feel more of those muscles ;)
Talking about day 2 I did see a couple misspellings, but nothing bad! I was able to enjoy the story and burn my eyes with the multiple flashing colors and we're only halfway through (not even drunk yet!). I hope whatever will be waiting for them at the core will not result in one of them dying, B man seems to be the most stable one, I might just get another ride from him but from what I read he doesn't like physical contact, must be a PTSD thing (Question: Was there ever a war in the Ice Vein Colony?).
I Sensed some Jealousy from both B man and Reuben when Seth said that He and Neo could make babies, there might still be a chance for B man and Seth to get together or is B man really interested in Neo too?
That poor Bunny, can't he ever get some respite? And what the heck was Reuben's Childhood with all those creepy but also interesting stories about this rabbit. Man, I know Neo isn't really dad material but Reuben needs some more Paternal Caring or just a closure, hopefully we don't encounter their ghost on the core or Reuben might really just chose and join them.
P.S As Always the music is great, I especially loved the one titled "kalightianclass" it's so cheery and upbeat that it almost reminds me of Kindergarten music and the Pixel Vibes!! I love it so much. (also saw a file titled "reubenromance" you can't fool me, you've already teased us with the Steven Universe licking shenanigan and that Pillar near Neo's face, I really wish Reuben might give Neo a chance in the love department)

Well B Man didn't reciprocate with Seth, but B Man doesn't seem to be able to reciprocate to anyone, so who knows what's gonna happen!! Maybe his philocision isn't working - or maybe he's just lying to make Seth feel better. Who knows!!

So I just finished Day 2 and...HNNNGGGHHHFFF please allow me to gush a little.
I was already in love with the characters and I find Kalight to be SUCH an intriguing and wonderfully weird universe. Some of the stuff you've come up with regarding how Kalightian (is that the right term? xwx) anatomy is actually really creative and interesting. It was nice seeing a little bit more of Kalight's lore being revealed and also delving a little deeper into the character's respective backgrounds as well (Poor Reuben TwT).
Seth is probs my fave so far though. He's such a horny lil fuckboy and I love it. Very much look forward to seeing more of him and the others getting into shenanigans later down the line. I await the next update with bated breath!
NGL I am VERY much tempted to make my own Kalight-based fan character just cuz I'm in love with this world so much. But I'll probably hold off until more of the lore comes to light as I certainly don't want to disrespect your series with my shameless self-insert character. :P

Haha. Well I was feeling a little inspired last night so I wrote a bit of fanfiction adapting one of my existing OCs to the Kalight universe. He's got his own weird and wonderful backstory in my own universe I've created for him but I figure he'd fit into Kalight decently well too!

I certainly respect the fact that Season May is a very personal project for you, and I appreciate the fact that you're ok with me writing my own fanfic stuff, even if it's strictly non-canon to the universe. (No worries about Seth's lewd comments, btw. I literally invited it. And considering I'm in my 30s I'd say I'm an appropriate age. :P)
I wish I could take full credit for the art of Saboteur, but it's actually something I commissioned another artist to draw for me (as I couldn't draw my way out of a paper bag lmao). Still I'm glad you liked him and how I fit him into the Kalight universe. He's just one of MANY OCs I've created over the years and each of them get a little piece of me.
In his own canon Saboteur is actually the manifestation of a spirit that guards a little forested grove and protects it from those who would seek to harm nature. I'm working on writing a short novella about him, though admittedly I haven't been in a state where I've been able to work on it as much as I'd like.
His canon iteration is actually a lot braver and more capable than his Kalight version, but I thought due to the overall theme of the VN it would be fitting to insert a little more of my own life story into it as well. Namely the depression and anxiety, as well as the frustration at the current state of society and the people currently in power. (I'll shut up about that though lest I get too political)
In any case thank you so much for taking the respond to me and also listening to me gush over my own OCs. I will def be following Season May to the end and will also be recommending it to my friends!

Seboteur's backstory is quite beautiful and reminds me a bit of the Harthens - how they want to protect nature (AKA Kalight), so that fits right in! And don't worry, I put my own emotions and experiences into my own characters too. What's the point of having life experience and not using it somehow? And I appreciate that you put a bit of yourself into the character knowing the VN's themes. Everyone has their own struggles and differences - that's what makes us all interesting and worth writing about!!
